Job summary

ALH Hotels is seeking a REAL Publican to lead Elizabeth Tavern, delivering memorable pub experiences while fostering local connections and a strong team culture.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, safety, compliance, and financial performance, acting as the pillar of the local community and driving a high-performing team across all shifts.

• Proven ability to manage P&L and drive results.
• RSA/RSG and Responsible Person qualifications required by SA rules.
• Able to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

Job description

We’re on the hunt for a REAL Publican, someone who lives and breathes hospitality, leads from the front, and brings locals together by creating pub experiences they love.

Sitting on Elizabeth Way, the Elizabeth Tavern is a newly renovated family friendly venue offering great outdoor and indoor areas for our guests to meet.

The Family Bistro offers a wide range of food options from succulent steaks, pub classics and everything in between. Our kids menu and daily food specials ensure great value meals for the entire family.

Our lovely beer garden is shady and comfortable with plenty of seats, perfect for relaxing and soaking in the warm weather. Our Sports Bar is fresh and modern with plenty to offer, including multiple TV screens, pool tables and TAB facilities. Guests can enjoy all the latest sporting moments, shoot a game of pool, or kick back over a casual drink.

Salary:From $92,000 + superannuation + bonus

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

Hold current industry RSA,RSG and Responsible Person Badgequalifications as per South Australian state requirements
