Job summary

ALH Hotels’ Henley Beach Hotel in Adelaide is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a high-volume bar and bistro team, delivering memorable hospitality and community-focused service. You will support the Publican to run the pub smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe, supervise staff, and bring energy, service, and smiles on every shift.

A current RSA, RSG and RP badge are required. This hands-on role involves lifting and stocking duties, participation in discounts within the Endeavour Group, and

Qualifications

• Hands-on hospitality leadership experience in bar, bistro or gaming room
• Ability to lead a team and deliver strong guest experiences
• Willingness to perform manual handling and lifting as part of duties
• Current RSA, RSG and RP badges as per state requirements

Responsibilities

• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great vibe
• Lead a team of hospitality staff and set the standard for service
• Handle hiccups quickly and maintain a positive, energetic atmosphere
• Engage with locals and be the face of the venue during shifts

We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Henley Beach Hotelbuzzing and loved by the locals.

Located right on The Esplanade, the Henley Beach Hotel is a premium coastal destination just minutes from Adelaide's CBD. We offer a high-volume, dynamic work environment across our ocean-view Sports Bar and bustling Bistro, serving fresh seafood and quality steaks. We are looking for energetic hospitality professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, community-focused venue.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA, RSG and RP Badgeas per state requirements
