Job summary

The Star Sydney is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a dynamic team across daily operations at our renowned venue. You will report to the Venue Manager and help deliver exceptional guest experiences and service excellence.

Responsibilities include rostering, training, maintaining service standards, and ensuring RSA compliance. A passion for hospitality and strong communication are essential in this busy, guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Management experience in a large busy hospitality environment with knowledge of food & beverages.
• Planning and resourcing people and products, performance management and controlling labour costs and operating expenses.
• Exceptional guest service skills with proactive attitude and ability to communicate with diverse guests.
• Current RSA Statement of Attainment.
• Flexible with availability for work over a 7-day roster.

Responsibilities

• Assist Venue Manager to lead and support achievement of financial and operational targets
• Oversee rostering, SOPs, training and performance management
• Assist with development, implementation and evaluation of service standards and SOPs
• Ensure compliance with RSA and Liquor Act requirements
• Assist in recruitment, training and development of staff for timely hiring and career growth
