Job summary

The Star Sydney is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a team in delivering daily venue operations at a premier entertainment hub. Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will drive guest service, rostering, training and procedures to meet financial and service targets, while upholding RSA compliance and safety standards.

You will nurture talent, manage performance, and foster a dynamic, integrity-led team culture across our busy venues, including The Darling and The Star Grand Hotel.

Qualifications

• Management experience in a large, busy hospitality environment.
• Strong planning and staffing capability with cost awareness.
• Exceptional guest service skills and effective communication.
• Current RSA Statement of Attainment.
• Flexible with availability for a seven-day roster.

Responsibilities

• Assist Venue Manager to lead and support achievement of financial and operational targets
• Oversee rostering requirements, SOPs, training and performance management
• Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of service standards and SOPs
• Ensure all areas comply with RSA and Liquor Act provisions
• Assist in managing recruitment and development to support growth
