Job summary

Goodstart Narre Warren South is seeking an experienced Assistant Director to lead a 60-place centre and support the Centre Director in delivering high-quality early learning and care. You will mentor staff, foster strong family relationships, and engage with the local community while applying the Goodstart Practice Guide.

The role requires a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, a current Victorian Working with Children Check, and completion of the National Child Safety Foundation Training via

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education with relevant regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
• Current Victorian Working with Children Check; National Child Safety Foundation Training completed via Geccko platform.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director in leading the team to deliver high-quality early learning and care.
• Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team.
• Act as the centre's leader in the Centre Director's absence and ensure continuity of operations.
• Implement and uphold the Goodstart Practice Guide.

As the Assistant Director at Goodstart, you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks.

In this role, you will:

Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care

Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team

Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence

Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide

• 60 place centre
• Located opposite to Stratharid Primary School
• Open 6.30am to 6.30pm
• Only 4 min drive to Casey Central Shopping Centre
• Onsite parking
• Centre Director who has been at Goodstart for over 5yrs
• Experienced team that include educators who have been at centre for more than 15yrs

You’ll need:

A Diploma in Early Childhood Education
