Job summary

Goodstart Heatley - Fulham Rd is seeking an experienced Assistant Director to lead the centre in the Centre Director's absence and support a dynamic team delivering high-quality early learning and care.

You will mentor staff, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with leadership to build strong relationships with families and the local community.

• Experience in early learning leadership roles (Assistant Director or centre leadership).
• Ability to mentor staff and build leadership capabilities within a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding children and implementing Goodstart practices.

Pay: $44.39 - $45.67 per hr - Depending on Experience and Qualifications

As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Heatley - Fulham Rd, you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks.

In this role, you will:

Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care

Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team

Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence

Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide

• Be mentored and guided by an experienced Centre Director who has been working in the Early Years sector since 1988
• Our architecturally designed outdoor play space features an outdoor stage, digging pits, sand pits, play and bike tracks, wooden bridge , dry creek beds, digging patch, sandpits, mud kitchen, shady tree tunnel, fruit & vegetable gardens and lots of free space.
• At our centre we have lots of furry and feathered friends including chickens, fish and Tweet the Budgie.
