Job summary

The YMCA Queensland is hiring an Assistant Coordinator for YMCA Sandgate Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part-time basis. You will support daily operations, lead play-based programming, and guide a team to deliver safe, engaging care for children.

Ideal candidates bring a Diploma in Children’s Services or related qualification, strong communication and customer service skills, and a commitment to safety and inclusion. Blue Card and First Aid/CPR are required or willing to obtain.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC/Teaching qualification (or studying towards).
• Demonstrated experience in children’s programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework.

About The Role

We are seeking a capable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Sandgate Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part time basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.
