Job summary

YMCA Yandina Outside School Hours Care is seeking an Assistant Coordinator to join the team on a permanent part-time basis. You’ll help the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and guide a passionate team to deliver safe, fun, and enriching care for children.

We offer a not-for-profit environment with community focus and opportunities for training and professional development. The role includes working with families, schools and the local community to create a positive OSHC

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC/Teaching qualification (or studying towards).
• Experience in children’s programming and administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily running of the service.
• Assist with child-led, play-based programming.
• Provide guidance to educators and support staffing needs.
• Maintain compliance and support administration processes.
• Engage positively with children, families, schools and the local community.

About the role

We are seeking a capable and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Yandina Outside School Hours Care on a permanent part time basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.
