Job summary

The YMCA Grovely Outside School Hours Care is seeking an Assistant Coordinator to support the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun and enriching care for children. The role is permanent part-time, with up to 34.5 hours during term and more during vacation care.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or related ECEC/Teaching (or studying towards)
• Demonstrated experience in children’s programming and administration
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A valid Blue Card or willingness to obtain
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
• Commitment to a safe and inclusive environment for all children
• Familiarity with the National Quality Framework

Responsibilities

• Assist with child-led, play-based programming

You'll play a key role in supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day operations, lead programming, and help guide a passionate team in delivering safe, fun, and enriching care for children.
