Blackwoods Toowoomba is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in driving sales performance and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will lead, coach and develop the team, while ensuring store presentation, stock levels and operational efficiency are maintained daily.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes safety, team engagement and a culture of accountability, with opportunities to step into Store Manager when needed.

About The Role

We're looking for an energetic and people focused Assistant Store Manager to help lead our Toowoomba team and drive an exceptional customer experience every day.

This is a hands on leadership role where you'll work alongside the Store Manager to lead the team, drive sales performance, maintain operational excellence and create a safe, high performing culture.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the Store Manager to deliver strong sales and commercial results.
• Leading and coaching team members to provide outstanding customer service.
• Driving team engagement, performance and accountability.
• Ensuring the store is well presented, fully stocked and operating efficiently.
• Assisting with rostering, recruitment, onboarding and team development.
• Building strong relationships with customers and creating repeat business
• Championing safety, wellbeing and compliance within the store.
• Stepping into the Store Manager role when required and leading from the front.

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Previous experience in retail, trade, hardware or a similar customer focused environment.
• Proven leadership experience, or someone ready to take the next step into a leadership role.
• Strong commercial and sales acumen with the ability to drive results.
• A passion for coaching and developing people.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A hands on leadership style and willingness to get involved wherever needed.
• Commitment to creating a safe and productive workplace.
• Knowledge of tools, hardware or industrial products is highly regarded but not essential.
