Job summary

Unity Housing Company is seeking a proactive Team Leader – Assets to lead a maintenance team delivering responsive and planned services across its housing portfolio. Based in Bowden, with five weeks’ annual leave and flexible working options, you will oversee contractor performance and ensure high quality outcomes for tenants.

This permanent full-time role requires strong leadership, asset management knowledge and the ability to balance operations with strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams within asset management, maintenance, property or housing environments.
• Strong contractor management, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing maintenance programs, budgets, compliance requirements and service standards.
• Sound knowledge of building maintenance practices, WHS requirements and asset management principles.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing a team of Maintenance Coordinators to deliver high-quality, customer-focused asset management services.
• Overseeing responsive, planned and vacancy maintenance programs to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard.
• Managing contractor performance and compliance, ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with regulatory requirements.
• Building partnerships with housing teams, tenants, contractors and government agencies to support positive outcomes.
• Contributing to asset management strategy and continuous improvement through planning, budgeting and policy development.
