Skilled Jobs Australia is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled baker for a full-time position at our client bakery in Port Augusta, SA. You will bake and prepare dough, ensure product quality, and contribute to product development in a busy kitchen.

Requirements include an AQF Certificate III and 2+ years of baking or retail experience, with strong OH&S knowledge and teamwork. The role offers a competitive salary and retirement superannuation.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III (Australian Qualification Framework) including at least two years of experience.
• High level of personal cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Ability to plan time, work under pressure and understand OH&S in a kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dough and pastry
• Kneading and proving of bread dough
• Forming bread and other pastry products
• Ensure the correct temperature of the oven
• Bake bread and cook pastries and other products
• Prepare fillings for cakes, pastries, bread, and slices as required
• Fill and decorate cakes, pastries, bread, and slices as required
• Coordinate preparation, forming and baking of products according to demand—Quality control of products
• Stock control as required
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area
• Ensure the safety of the kitchen
