Job summary

Liebherr Australia Pty. Ltd. invites applications for an apprenticeship in the Earthmoving Division.

You will learn to service, maintain and support a wide range of industry-leading earthmoving equipment used across construction and civil projects. Working with skilled professionals, you’ll gain real-world experience while earning a recognised qualification that opens doors to a long and successful career in a growing industry.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in or committed to completing a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology.
• Interest in mechanical equipment and a long-term trade career.
• Good literacy and numeracy with basic computer skills.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and follow safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn through structured training and on-the-job experience.
• Reliable, motivated and team-oriented with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified technicians with inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy equipment.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical, pneumatic and basic electrical faults.
• Safely operate workshop tools and lifting devices in a clean, organised workspace.
• Complete apprenticeship training and attend required trade school.
• Work across service areas and participate in on-the-job training.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Skills & Experience:

• Enrolled in, or committed to completing, a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology.
• A genuine interest in mechanical equipment, heavy machinery, and developing a long-term trade career.
• Strong literacy, numeracy, and basic computer skills, with the ability to complete training and workplace documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to safely use hand tools and follow workplace safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn new technical skills through structured training, on-the-job experience, and trade school attendance.
• Reliable, motivated, and team-oriented, with a positive attitude and commitment to personal and professional development.
