Job summary

Liebherr-Australia Pty. Ltd. offers an Apprenticeship in its Earthmoving Division.

You will learn to service, maintain and support a wide range of industry-leading earthmoving equipment used across construction infrastructure and civil projects. Working with skilled professionals, you’ll gain real world experience while earning a qualification that can open doors to a long and successful career in a growing industry.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or committed to completing a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology.
• Interest in mechanical equipment and developing a long-term trade career.
• Strong literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and follow safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn through structured training and on-the-job experience.
• Reliable, motivated and team-oriented with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified technicians with inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy equipment.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults.
• Safely operate workshop tools, equipment and lifting devices while maintaining a clean area.
• Complete apprenticeship training, attend trade school and maintain training records.
• Work across service areas and participate in on-the-job training.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Assist qualified technicians with the inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy equipment and machinery.

Learn to diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults while developing strong technical skills.

Safely operate workshop tools, equipment and lifting devices while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Successfully complete your apprenticeship training, attend required trade school and maintain training records.

Work across different service areas and participate in on-the-job training to build broad industry experience.

Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement in everything you do.

Skills & Experience:

Enrolled in, or committed to completing, a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology.

A genuine interest in mechanical equipment, heavy machinery, and developing a long-term trade career.

Strong literacy, numeracy, and basic computer skills, with the ability to complete training and workplace documentation.

Demonstrated ability to safely use hand tools and follow workplace safety procedures.

Willingness to learn new technical skills through structured training, on-the-job experience, and trade school attendance.
