Job summary

Qualifications

• Enrolled in, or committed to completing, a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology.
• Interest in mechanical equipment and a long-term trade career.
• Strong literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills for training and documentation.
• Safe use of hand tools and adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified technicians with inspection, maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy equipment.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical, pneumatic and basic electrical faults.
• Safely operate workshop tools, equipment and lifting devices; keep area clean and organized.
• Complete apprenticeship training and attend required trade school with records.
• Work across service areas and participate in on-the-job training.
