Job summary

Visy offers a four-year Electrical Apprenticeship in a highly automated beverage can manufacturing facility. You’ll work with experienced Electricians and Maintenance Technicians, completing TA FE studies and gaining practical skills in electrical maintenance and industrial automation.

Successful applicants will join a supportive team, with emphasis on safety, teamwork and ongoing learning across maintenance, production, logistics and engineering functions.

Qualifications

• Completed Year 12 (or equivalent).
• Genuine interest in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot automated production machinery and manufacturing equipment.
• Gain hands-on experience with PLCs, robotics, AGVs, and automated control systems.
• Complete a nationally recognised Electrical Apprenticeship with on-the-job training and TA FE studies.

About the opportunity:

Working alongside experienced Electricians and Maintenance Technicians, you'll gain hands-on experience maintaining advanced production machinery, automation systems, and manufacturing equipment while completing a nationally recognised electrical trade qualification.

What you will learn:

• Complete a 4-year Electrical Apprenticeship within a highly automated beverage can manufacturing facility, gaining exposure to maintenance, production, logistics, engineering, and site leadership teams.
• Learn alongside experienced tradespeople and supervisors while completing your TAFE studies, developing practical skills in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and industrial automation.
• Upon successful completion, you'll be a qualified Electrician with hands-on experience working with advanced manufacturing equipment, PLCs, robotics, AGVs and automated control systems.
