Job summary

Visy Group in Shepparton is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician for a full-time, permanent role. You will join the Shepparton Food Can site and support a 40-hour week with some banked RDO time. Role includes on-site duties with weekend options at penalty rates.

You will diagnose, repair, and upgrade electrical systems, perform routine checks, and log work orders in Ampro system. Safety and continuous improvement are emphasised.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification with an open A grade VIC licence.
• Experience with Alan Bradley PLC control systems and automation diagnostics.
• Strong preventative and breakdown maintenance in fast-paced manufacturing.
• Able to work with production teams with safety as a priority.

Responsibilities

• Involvement in upgrades to electrical systems and completing overhauls of equipment as required.

Role details:

We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our Shepparton Food Can site. This is a full-time permanent career role.

• Days Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm
• 40hour weeks (with 4 hours banked RDO time)
• Saturdays and Sundays available at penalty rates

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.

What you’ll do:

• Diagnose and fix problems with components, Alan Bradley PLCs, wiring and equipment throughout the plant.
• Involvement in upgrades to electrical systems and completing overhauls of equipment as required.
• Perform routine electrical checks and attend breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Complete daily work orders – we use Ampro system

What you’ll bring:

• Electrical trade qualification with an open A grade VIC electrical licence.
• Experience in Alan Bradley PLC control system, automation diagnostics and fault finding
• Strong experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance in fast-paced manufacturing environments – ideally in the food space
• Working alongside the production team to resolve issues.
• Passion for continuous improvement and optimisation.
• A proactive attitude and a commitment to safety.
