Job summary

Strategic Partners Australia – Canberra ACT is seeking a skilled IT professional for an on-site role in Canberra. The position covers full-time permanent and contract arrangements, with NV2 security clearance alongside enterprise-level ICT support responsibilities.

You will support business-critical applications, troubleshoot across Windows/Linux, and engage with stakeholders to ensure reliable service delivery within government-related environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in service desk, ICT/app support, systems administration or enterprise technology operations.
• Experience supporting business-critical applications in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Exposure to Windows and/or Linux environments, web apps, databases, APIs, middleware or enterprise integration technologies.
• Familiarity with application monitoring, incident management and service management tools.
• Understanding of ITIL principles and structured ICT service delivery practices.
• Experience supporting application deployments, releases, upgrades and production environments.
• Excellent communication, customer service and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Previous experience supporting Australian Federal Government or Defence ICT environments highly desirable.
• ITIL, Microsoft, AWS, Azure or other relevant certifications highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Provide service desk and ICT support for critical government and enterprise applications.
• Assist with deployments, releases, upgrades and production environment support.
• Monitor applications and coordinate incident management with stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot across Windows and Linux environments, databases and APIs.
• Maintain ITIL-aligned service delivery practices and documentation.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to ensure high service quality.
• Contribute to security and compliance requirements in defence/ gov environments.
• Pursue relevant certifications to enhance technical capabilities.
