Job summary

Booka Consulting Pty Ltd. is seeking a capable Level 2 Application Support Specialist to assist with ongoing support, administration and maintenance of enterprise applications in a secure government ICT environment. The role spans Canberra or Melbourne, with NV2 clearance required.

You will resolve incidents, administer applications, and contribute to ITIL-aligned service management, ensuring system reliability, service continuity and positive client outcomes across COTS and bespoke solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience providing Level 2 application support, systems administration or technical ICT support.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise application environments and troubleshooting practices.
• Ability to investigate and resolve technical incidents effectively.
• Familiarity with ITIL-aligned service management processes.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to technical support.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 technical support for enterprise business applications and ICT systems.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve application incidents and technical issues.
• Support application administration, configuration, maintenance and routine operational activities.
• Assist with the diagnosis of application, database, operating system and integration issues.
• Contribute to incident, problem, change and service request management activities.
• Escalate complex technical issues and collaborate with specialist support teams as required.
• Maintain support documentation, knowledge articles and technical records.
• Assist with monitoring application performance, reliability and service availability.
• Identify opportunities to improve support processes, efficiency and application performance.
