Job summary

Wholesale Appliance Supplies on the Gold Coast is seeking a parts advisor to identify and source exact spare parts from diagrams, model numbers and manufacturer manuals, and to keep our stock, pricing and records accurate.

You will support trade customers, technicians and the public, answer inquiries by phone or email, process orders and returns, assist with picking and packing, and help the warehouse and counter teams move quickly and correctly.

Qualifications

• Experience in appliance spare parts or related trade is highly regarded.
• Able to read technical parts diagrams and manufacturer documentation.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure the correct part every time.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and technicians.

• Cross-reference model/serial numbers with diagrams, exploded views, manuals.
• Source parts from suppliers, including special orders/back-orders.
• Process parts orders, quotes, credits and returns in our system.
• Maintain and update parts records, pricing and stock levels.
• Assist with picking, packing and receiving of stock as needed.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to trade customers, technicians and the public.

Job description

Working from parts diagrams, model and serial numbers, and verbal or written fault descriptions, you'll identify and source the correct spare parts for our trade and retail customers, keep our parts systems accurate, and help our warehouse and counter teams move quickly and correctly.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret customer and technician enquiries (phone, email and counter) to identify the exact spare part required
• Cross-reference model and serial numbers against manufacturer parts diagrams, exploded views and manuals
• Source parts from our suppliers and manufacturers, including special orders and back-orders
• Process parts orders, quotes, credits and returns accurately in our system
• Maintain and update parts records, pricing and stock levels
• Assist with picking, packing and receiving of stock as needed
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to trade customers, technicians and the public

About you

• Previous experience in appliance spare parts, whitegoods, or a related trade background (highly regarded)
• Confidence reading technical parts diagrams and manufacturer documentation
• Strong attention to detail - the right part, every time
• Great communication skills, in person and on the phone
• Comfortable using computerised inventory and ordering systems
• A reliable, team-first attitude
