Job summary

Chemika Pty. Ltd. in Sydney's Girraween lab invites an Analytical Chemist to join a busy, highly regulated team.

You will work under the Laboratory Manager, applying initiative, clear communication and meticulous attention to detail in a dynamic testing environment. Responsibilities include performing chemical and physical testing on raw materials and finished products using HPLC, GC, GCMS, LCMS, AAS, ICP and TOC, with strict adherence to data integrity and quality systems that serve Australian

Qualifications

• Degree in Science with major in Chemistry.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a commercial pharmaceutical laboratory.
• Practical understanding of international data integrity best practice.
• Ability to work safely and independently with supervision minimal.

Job description

Servicing pharmaceutical and veterinary manufacturers and licensed with the TGA and US FDA, Chemika has built its reputation on quality, technical excellence and exceptional service levels across a broad range of analytical testing.

We are currently recruiting an Analytical Chemist to work in our Girraween laboratory.

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will be working in a very busy team environment and you will be required to display initiative, have excellent communication skills and a very good attention to detail. Working on therapeutic materials suppliedto Australian and international markets, you will be required towork productively within a highly regulated quality system.

The successful applicant willjoin our team of exceptional analytical chemists. The laboratory undertakes a considerable scope of testing using instruments such as HPLC, GC, GCMS, LCMS, AAS, ICP, TOC in addition to a wide variety of wet chemical techniques. These techniques will be used in the analysis of raw materials and formulated products.

Applicants must have a degree in Science with a major in chemistry. Applicants must alsohave a minimum of 2 years experience in a commercial pharmaceutical laboratory and have a practical understanding of international best practice for data integrity.

Your responsibilities as an Analytical Chemistwill include:

Working with a minimum of supervision and being pro-active in completing tasks.

The role will be offered with conditions as described in the Australian national employment standards with remuneration in the range of $75 000 to $85 000, plus 12% SGC.
