Job summary

GMP Pharmaceuticals Group in Australia is seeking a QC Assistant to join our Western Sydney lab. You will perform routine QC testing, validate materials and products, and support day-to-day laboratory operations.

Ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Science and about 1 year experience in quality control in pharma or food manufacturing; familiar with analytical methods and basic instrumentation like UV, HPLC, GC; eager to learn and improve processes.

Job description

The role

Our fast-growing Quality Control team is eager to welcome an experienced and passionate QC Assistant to join the team based in Western Sydney. Graduates are also welcomed to apply!

The role focuses on delivering high standard QC testing, validation processes on materials and products and carry all ranges of QC lab responsibilities on daily basis.

Responsibilities:

• Sample receipt and Job issuance for raw material and finished products.
• Coordinate with contract laboratories for execution of analytical test which are not feasible to perform In-house.
• Document storage and archiving.
• Perform routine analysis which includes physical tests and chemical tests as per applicable Analytical Test Methods or Pharmacopoeia for raw materials and finished products.
• Analysing and documenting QC work using basic instrumentation and instrumentation with advanced software in accordance with SOP, GMP and GLP. Performing wet chemistry analysis and when required.
• Assist in ensuring the requirements of TGA, NSW Food Authority or any relevant regulator as applicable.
• Ensure that the analytical work of QC strongly interlinks Data Integrity.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records for all testing, analytical work and investigations.
• Ensure that laboratory related safety issues are raised to company awareness and resolution.
• Assist in the calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Assist in ensuring adequate stocks of chemical and consumables are maintained.

Ideal Candidate will have:

• Bachelor of Science or related degree
• One years of experience in Quality Control in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing industry preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate solid knowledges and experiences in testing, conducting experiments, QC process.
• Eagerness to learn and improve quality of QC processes and products.
• Basic instrumentation knowledges with the ability to applywith advanced software e.g., Karl Fisher, Auto titrator, Hardness Tester, Disintegration Tester, Viscometer, Polarimeter, Sieve shaker, Tapped density and InfraRed. Instrumentation with advanced software i.e. UV spectrophotometer, Inductively Coupled Plasma, HPLC, UHPLC, GC.
