Job summary

Evolve Scientific Recruitment is assisting a well-known pharmaceutical company in the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne to appoint an Analytical Instrumentation Chemist. Reporting to the Analytical & Stability Manager, you will support development and validation of analytical methods to confirm product quality and materials.

Qualifications

• Tertiary Qualification in Chemistry or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant Chemistry laboratory experience in a GMP environment.

Job description

• This company is a well-known pharmaceutical company situated in the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne.
• Due to substantial growth, this company requests the assistance of Evolve Scientific Recruitment to source an Analytical Instrumentation Chemist with pharmaceutical experience.

Duties: Reporting to the Analytical & Stability Manager, you will be required to support the development and validation of analytical methods to confirm the quality of the company’s products and materials. Your duties may include but are not limited to:

• Ensure adherence to the Calibration, Qualification & Maintenance Schedule.
• Assist with maintaining laboratory instruments in a validated state.
• Deliver instrument training to laboratory staff.
• Provide instrument troubleshooting assistance and guidance with investigations for all scientific laboratories.
• Prepare, review and implement instrumentation.
• Review of Instrumentation Incident Reports in a timely manner, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are implemented where relevant.
• Participate in analytical method validation and development work where required

About you:

• Tertiary Qualification in Chemistry or related discipline
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant Chemistry laboratory experience in a GMP environment (essential)
• Excellent knowledge of analytical techniques including GC, HPLC, UPLC and wet chemistry.
• Experience in calibration, maintenance, qualification of laboratory instrumentation
• Strong written communication and report writing skills and protocols.
• Well organized with the ability to work under pressure and motivation to work consistently with minimum supervision.
