Job summary

Flinders University is seeking an Alumni and Advancement Operations Officer to maintain accurate alumni and donor records, coordinate activities and events, and support day-to-day operations of the Alumni and Advancement team. This role offers exposure to alumni relations and fundraising operations within a collaborative university environment.

The role requires strong organisational skills, experience with CRM systems (Raiser's Edge preferred), and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Experience using CRM or database systems; Raiser's Edge experience highly regarded.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate alumni, donor and stakeholder records in Raiser's Edge.
  • Support data entry, record updates, gift processing and routine data maintenance.
  • Provide administrative support including meeting coordination, minute taking, and document preparation.
  • Assist with alumni events and engagement activities, including registrations and logistics.

About the Role

The Alumni and Advancement Operations Officer provides administrative support to help the University maintain accurate alumni and donor records, coordinate activities and events, and support the day-to-day operations of the Alumni and Advancement team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised administrator to gain exposure to alumni relations, fundraising operations and stakeholder engagement within a collaborative university environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining accurate alumni, donor and stakeholder records in Raiser's Edge.
  • Supporting data entry, record updates, gift processing and routine data maintenance activities.
  • Providing administrative support including meeting coordination, minute taking, document preparation and responding to enquiries.
  • Assisting with alumni events and engagement activities, including registrations, logistics and record management.

This position makes a significant contribution to the University's strategic plan to changing 10 million lives, Every One Matters, by 2035 through supporting alumni engagement activities, donor relationships and the effective management of alumni and advancement data.
