Job summary

About the Role

Join a collaborative and student-focused team supporting the University's admissions operations. Reporting to the Manager, Admissions, this role provides leadership across admissions workflows, service delivery and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality outcomes for prospective students and stakeholders.

As the Coordinator, Admissions, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and supporting Admissions staff to deliver timely, high-quality services.
  • Overseeing application workflows and contributing to operational performance.
  • Driving continuous improvement of admissions processes, systems and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and quality standards.

This position makes a significant contribution to the University's strategic plan to changing 10 million lives, Every One Matters, by 2035 through leading high-quality admissions services that support prospective students through the application process. By driving continuous improvement, fostering a student-centred approach and enhancing admissions processes and systems, the role contributes to the Flinders University values with a specific focus on Innovation and being Student Centric.

You are an experienced people leader with a strong customer service focus and a passion for delivering quality outcomes. Excelling in managing complex workflows, building stakeholder relationships, and navigating policy-rich environments, you bring confidence, sound judgement and a collaborative approach to leadership. Your ability to drive continuous improvement and support operational excellence will contribute to the ongoing success of the Admissions team.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience leading teams and managing performance in a service-focused environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret policies and provide sound advice and guidance.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Experience working within admissions, student administration or a comparable compliance-focused environment.
