Responsabilités

• Manage and oversee all air import operations to ensure shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and within required timeframes.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by acting as the primary escalation point for customer enquiries and operational issues.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers, overseas agents, carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure all underbond movements and documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow up on goods approaching storage or time-up deadlines to prevent delays, unnecessary costs, and service failures.
• Coordinate and follow up on Biosecurity inspections and clearance requirements to facilitate the timely release of cargo.
• Liaise with Customs, airlines, transport providers, government agencies, and customers to ensure efficient cargo movement.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, company, and customer requirements.
• Manage end-of-month processes, including accurate customer billing and timely processing of vendor invoices.
• Resolve operational issues, service concerns, and customer escalations promptly and professionally.
• Lead, support, and develop team members to achieve operational excellence and high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, service delivery, and operational efficiency.

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Air Import Manager to join our Melbourne team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated freight forwarding professional to lead air import operations while delivering exceptional service to customers and stakeholders.

As Air Import Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of air import shipments, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and outstanding customer service across all aspects of the import process.

This position operates within a rostered schedule to support customer and operational requirements. Regular weekend work will form part of the roster, with schedules communicated in advance. Flexibility to support peak periods and operational needs is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all air import operations to ensure shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and within required timeframes.

Deliver exceptional customer service by acting as the primary escalation point for customer enquiries and operational issues.

Maintain proactive communication with customers, overseas agents, carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Ensure all underbond movements and documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, Customs, and Biosecurity requirements.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Experience managing operational and financial responsibilities, including billing and invoice processing.
