Job summary

Linktal Recruitment is seeking an Import Operator for a well‑established Australian‑owned freight forwarder based in Sydney. You will manage import shipments from registration through delivery, handling air and sea imports and coordinating with overseas agents and customs brokers.

With at least 1 year of freight forwarding imports experience and a working knowledge of CargoWise, you will join a proactive team that values hands-on ownership of shipments and collaboration with experienced

• At least 1 year of freight forwarding import experience (air or sea).
• Working knowledge of CargoWise is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import air and sea shipments from registration through to final delivery.
• Review registrations and monitor customs clearance status.
• Follow up on missing documentation and coordinate paperwork with overseas agents, clients and customs brokers.
• Liaise with shipping lines, CTOs, customs, quarantine and other relevant authorities.
• Arrange cartage and coordinate delivery requirements with transport providers.
• Keep customers updated on shipment progress and delivery arrangements.
• Handle job costing and invoicing.
