Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking an Application Support Engineer for a 12-month contract in Sydney CBD with hybrid work (2 days in the office, 3 days WFH). The role focuses on supporting users and admins of our platform, resolving technical issues and contributing to service delivery excellence.

You will troubleshoot cloud-based components, read and debug Java and JavaScript, and leverage AI-powered tools to automate workflows. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in application support or software development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to read and troubleshoot Java/JavaScript code.
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL (Oracle optional).
• Familiar with AI tools and remote management via PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer advocacy and support to platform users.
• Contribute to best practices for support delivery.
• Troubleshoot platform, cloud tech and complex issues.
• Suggest process/product improvements across business units.
• Resolve issues via web, chat, email, cases and calls.
• Leverage AI tools to automate workflows and analyze insights.
