Job summary

UpGuard is seeking an AI & Automation Analyst in Hobart, Australia, to drive AI-enabled automation across teams. You’ll map how work happens, design AI-enabled workflows, and build the A2 harness that anchors the team’s AI initiatives.

You’ll directly impact how fast and how well teams adopt new automation capabilities. You’ll work day-to-day with the lead analyst to translate needs into clear specs, create simple automations, and shape the future of how AI changes our processes.

Qualifications

• AI fluency across tools and workflows.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to map requirements and write specs.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving to break down business problems.
• Ability to steer conversations and keep discovery sessions focused.
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and adopt new tools.
• Able to collaborate across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct process discovery with the lead analyst, mapping actual vs. target workflows.
• Build and own the A2 harness, the single source of truth for AI tooling and workflows.
• Redesign processes to embed AI and automation from the start.
• Execute by building skills, connectors, and automations; write production-ready specs when needed.
• Estimate business impact and prioritize automations for wider rollout.
• Evolve the team’s AI harness and processes as tools and capabilities change.
• In early months, interview teams, launch the harness, map processes end-to-end, and deliver initial automations.
