Job summary

Monks is seeking an Analytics Engineer to turn raw GA4, media and CRM data into modeled datasets in BigQuery and to help apply AI to analytics. Hybrid role in Sydney or Melbourne with a growing data team, focusing on measurement strategy, tagging, data engineering, reporting and applied AI.

You will build pipelines, model data, and present insights to clients, leveraging Looker Studio and Gemini tools in a data-first culture that values growth and collaboration.

Qualifications

• You have strong SQL with analytics functions and nested queries.
• You can build and optimize data pipelines on Google Cloud.
• You know GA4 data and BigQuery export schemas.
• You build clean, documented data models and tables.
• You automate workflows using dbt/Dataform and orchestrators.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pipelines bringing GA4 exports, ad platform data and CRM data into BigQuery.
• Model raw event data into clean, documented tables using SQL and dbt or Dataform.
• Orchestrate jobs with Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions or Cloud Run.
• Set up data quality tests and monitoring to catch issues early.
• Work with GA4 export schemas and attribution as UI falls short.
• Collaborate with tagging specialists to ensure reliable data.
• Translate measurement plans into tables and metrics.
• Answer client questions with SQL on funnels, channels and LTV.
• Build semantic layer for Looker Studio and Looker dashboards.
• Present findings to client and internal stakeholders in plain language.
• AI: prepare datasets for BigQuery Conversational Analytics and Gemini.
• Conceptualise PoC AI tools on client data like NLP querying and anomaly detection.
• Use AI coding tools to ship faster with fewer errors.
