Job summary

Monks is hiring an Analytics Engineer to turn raw GA4, media and CRM data into modeled datasets in BigQuery, enabling data-driven decisions for major brands. Join the Data team in Sydney or Melbourne on a hybrid basis as a mid-level, permanent hire.

You'll build pipelines, write SQL, and collaborate with tagging specialists and clients to deliver measurable insights. The role offers opportunities to work with AI tools and advance into leadership within APAC data teams.

Qualifications

• Expert SQL skills including window functions, CTEs, and nested queries.
• Hands-on BigQuery experience with partitioning and cost control.
• Strong GA4 knowledge and BigQuery export schema understanding.
• Experience building and scheduling pipelines on Google Cloud (Composer, Dataform, dbt, Cloud Run).
• Python for data work and automation; version control with Git.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pipelines that bring GA4 exports, ad platform data, and CRM data into BigQuery.
• Model raw event data into clean, documented tables using SQL and dbt.
• Orchestrate jobs with Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions, or Cloud Run.
• Set up data quality tests and monitoring to catch issues early.
• Translate measurement plans into tables and metrics that answer them.
• Present findings to clients and internal stakeholders in plain language.
• AI: prepare datasets for BigQuery Conversational Analytics and Gemini tools.
