Job summary

Goanna Ag is seeking a Commercial Manager in Australia to drive growth through direct sales and strategic partnerships. The role blends technology, agronomy, sales, and collaboration, with fieldwork across paddocks and partner meetings.

You will partner with leading ag-tech practitioners and progressive farmers to identify value, demonstrate solutions, and close deals, including in-field demos and on-farm monitoring installation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in agronomy, ag retail, ag-tech, or agricultural sales.
• Comfort owning revenue targets and growth outcomes.
• The ability to sell consultatively — value first, product second.
• Strong communication skills with growers, advisers, and commercial stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel and hold a current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Identify value with farmers and close deals.
• Demo the software that translates data into insights for growers.
• Install and maintain on-farm monitoring gear.
• Develop the skills to confidently sell our products and solutions.
• Represent Goanna Ag at industry events, trials and field activities.
• Shape the future of ag-tech for customers and the company.
• Follow safety protocols in all field activities.
