Job summary

Bega Group is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to oversee safe, efficient production at our Smithfield site in Western Sydney. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will drive performance, coach a team, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement on an afternoon shift from 2:00pm to 10:00pm.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience within a manufacturing, production, or operational environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, and environmental standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management skills.
• Collaborative approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and team development.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production targets and operational KPIs.
• Promote a strong safety culture through compliance, coaching, and continuous risk management.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained and non-conformances are effectively managed.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Develop, coach, and support team members to achieve performance and development goals.
