Job summary

Bega Group in Western Sydney operates a multi-product site and is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to drive safe, efficient, and high-quality production. You will report to the Manufacturing Manager, support team performance, and foster a culture of safety, accountability and engagement across the production environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, a focus on safety, GMP/HACCP compliance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to hit targets and continuously

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience within a manufacturing, production, or operational environment.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, GMP and HACCP standards.
• Experience coaching and developing frontline teams to improve performance.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to lead safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for supporting team performance, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and engagement across the production environment.

Our Smithfield site in Western Sydney manufactures a range of more than 60 fruit juice, fruit drink, and water ice products. The site currently manufactures approximately 110 million litres of finished goods every year including The Juice Brothers, Daily Juice, Mildura, and Zooper Dooper.

The successful candidate must be available to work a permanent afternoon shift roster, Monday to Friday, from 2:00pm to 10:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production targets and operational KPIs
• Promote a strong safety culture through compliance, coaching, and continuous risk management
• Ensure quality standards are maintained and non-conformances are effectively managed
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
• Develop, coach, and support team members to achieve performance and development goal

About you

• Demonstrated leadership experience within a manufacturing, production, or operational environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues
• Sound knowledge of safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, and environmental standards
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management skills
• A collaborative approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and team development
