Job summary

Bega Group in Western Sydney is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to drive safe, efficient and high-quality production across our Smithfield site. You will report to the Manufacturing Manager and lead performance, coach teams and manage continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a hands-on leader who can build a safety-first culture, maintain GMP/quality standards and deliver on KPIs while developing staff through coaching and engagement.

• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, GMP and HACCP standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to lead safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for supporting team performance, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and engagement across the production environment. Our Smithfield site in Western Sydney, manufactures a range of more than 60 fruit juice, fruit drink, and water ice products. The site currently manufactures approximately 110 million litres of finished goods every year including The Juice Brothers, Daily Juice, Mildura, and Zooper Dooper. The successful candidate must be available to work a permanent afternoon shift roster, Monday to Friday, from 2:00pm to 10:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production targets and operational KPIs

• Ensure quality standards are maintained and non-conformances are effectively managed
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste

Demonstrated leadership experience within a manufacturing, production, or operational environment Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues Sound knowledge of safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, and environmental standards Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management skills A collaborative approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and team development
