Job summary

Australia Post in New South Wales is seeking a casual Retail Customer Service Officer at a local office. You will greet customers, handle transactions and assist with parcel lodgements and mail services.

You’ll work 25 hours per week with paid training, starting at $36.41 per hour and increasing to $38.92 after training, plus 12% superannuation. A supportive team and ongoing development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and/or cash handling.
• Able to lift up to 16kg regularly and stand for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer sales and service transactions with customers.
• Manage high value transactions accurately (cash, cheques, card payments, EFTPOS).
• Conduct identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews.
• Promote products and services through upselling and cross-selling, merchandising and promotions.
• Assist customers with mail and parcels lodgements and associated costs.
• Build relationships by understanding customer needs.
• Assist with stock taking and record maintenance.
