Job summary

UQ Biological Resources is seeking an Administration Officer to support the smooth operation of its research infrastructure at Long Pocket. Based at the Long Pocket campus, the role focuses on coordinating administrative tasks and maintaining essential systems for world-class animal research.

Responsibilities include managing the Mosaic database, handling data integrity, facilitating ethics protocol processes, and training staff.

Qualifications

• Completion of a degree with limited subsequent relevant experience; or completion of an advanced diploma qualification with at least one year of subsequent relevant experience.
• Demonstrated administration and coordination experience with process improvements.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and database maintenance.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Good organisational skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the Mosaic animal management database and support data integrity.
• Support daily animal movements, orders, sales and deliveries across campuses.
• Conduct asset stocktakes and maintain equipment/asset registers.
• Provide administrative support to the Director and Administration Manager.
