Job summary

UQ Biological Resources (UQBR) at Long Pocket is seeking an Administration Officer to support the smooth operation of our animal research facility. You will help coordinate administrative and operational processes, maintain the Mosaic animal management database, and assist with ethics protocol management and staff training.

Working in a collaborative team, you will streamline workflows, manage data integrity, handle stakeholder communications, and support billing, reporting and office systems.

Qualifications

• Completion of a degree with limited subsequent relevant experience, or advanced diploma with relevant experience.
• Proven administration and coordination experience with process improvements.
• Strong MS Office skills and database maintenance experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update Mosaic animal management database and ensure data integrity.
• Support daily animal movements, orders, and deliveries across campuses.
• Conduct asset stocktakes and manage equipment registers.
• Provide admin support to the Director and Administration Manager, including billing and reporting.
