Job summary

The University of Queensland is seeking an Administration Officer for the UQ Biological Resources team at the Long Pocket campus. You will support administrative and operational processes enabling world-class animal research, including database management, training, and stakeholder liaison.

Qualifications

• Completion of a degree with limited subsequent relevant experience; or completion of an advanced diploma qualification with at least one year of subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training
• Demonstrated administration and coordination experience with ability to improve procedures
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse stakeholders
• Strong organisational and time management abilities in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Maintain Mosaic animal management database, support data integrity, ethics protocol management, and staff training
• Support daily animal movements, orders, and deliveries across campuses with accurate admin processes
• Conduct asset stocktakes, maintain equipment registers, coordinate equipment movements, support admin workflows
• Provide admin support to Director and Administration Manager, including liaison, billing, reporting, and records
