Resources Safety and Health Queensland is seeking an Administration Officer to support the Coal Mines Inspectorate in its aim to achieve Zero Serious Harm for Queensland's resource workers.
In this role, you will be part of a team providing high-quality administrative support through the delivery of key operational tasks and the provision of comprehensive, timely, and accurate information to internal stakeholders, other agencies, industry representatives, and members of the public.
This role provides critical administrative and operational support to the Coal Inspectorate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Key responsibilities include managing travel arrangements for a geographically dispersed workforce, coordinating events, forums and workshops across the region, and providing direct support to facilitators to ensure successful delivery. The role is also responsible for managing assets, portable and attractive items, maintaining accurate registers, coordinating correspondence and records management, supporting financial and facilities administration, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
The position requires the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy, confidentiality and service delivery. Success in the role will depend on building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, exercising sound judgement and initiative, and responding effectively to changing business needs.
