Mission Australia is seeking an organised Administration Officer to join the Coffs Harbour Centre. This role delivers front-desk reception and essential administrative support to help connect individuals and families with services they need to thrive.

You'll work closely with the Centre Coordinator and team, providing professional, trauma-informed customer service, manage enquiries, appointments, and records, and contribute to a welcoming, efficient community hub through five days per week,

Qualifications

  • Experience in administration, reception, customer service, or office support roles.
  • Certificate in Business Administration or similar qualification (highly regarded).
  • Strong customer service skills with diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience supporting people experiencing vulnerability or disadvantage.
  • Cultural awareness and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.
  • Current Driver Licence.
  • National police history check and working with children/vulnerable people clearance.

  • Contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Your Opportunity

Looking for a role where your administration skills can make a genuine difference in your local community? Mission Australia is seeking an organised, customer-focused Administration Officer to join the Coffs Harbour Mission Australia Centre (MAC). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a well-established community hub that connects individuals and families with the services, support, and resources they need to thrive. This position offers the security of a full-time, 5-day-per-week contract through to February 2027, with the opportunity to continue in the role 3 days per week beyond February 2027, subject to operational requirements. As the welcoming face of the Centre, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive experience for community members, visitors, and service providers. Working closely with the Centre Coordinator and wider team, you'll provide high-quality reception and administrative support that helps keep the Centre running smoothly and efficiently. No two days will be the same as you support a busy and purpose-driven environment focused on strengthening community connections and improving outcomes for people experiencing disadvantage.

  • Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for visitors, staff, and community partners.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive team culture.
Requirements for Success

You are an experienced administrator who thrives in a people-focused environment. You enjoy building positive relationships, have excellent attention to detail, and are passionate about providing outstanding support to both colleagues and community members.

  • Experience in administration, reception, customer service, or office support roles.
  • Certificate in Business Administration or similar qualification (highly regarded).
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience working with or supporting people experiencing vulnerability, disadvantage, mental health challenges, or complex life circumstances.
  • Cultural awareness and commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.
  • A positive, proactive, and team-oriented approach.
  • Current Driver Licence.
  • Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
