Job summary

Mission Australia’s Country Recovery Connect service in the Riverland region is seeking two part-time case management roles based in Berri, SA. You will provide practical, person-centred support to children, young people and families affected by alcohol and other drug use, delivering services in homes, schools and community settings.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Community Services, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Mental Health, Social Work or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience delivering case management services and supporting clients with complex needs to achieve their goals.
  • Demonstrated understanding of alcohol and other drug related issues and the impact they can have on individuals and families.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with children, young people, families, community stakeholders and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
  • Experience conducting assessments, developing case plans and managing risk within a client centred framework.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection responsibilities, mandatory reporting requirements and safe practice principles.
  • Excellent communication, advocacy, organisational and record keeping skills, with the ability to work effectively across rural and regional communities.
  • First Aid & CPR certificate.
  • Full driver licence with no restrictions.
  • Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.

Your Opportunity

Mission Australia’s Country Recovery Connect service provides early intervention and support for children, young people, families and carers across the Riverland region who are impacted by alcohol and other drug use. Working within a highly supportive team, you will provide practical, person-centred support that helps individuals and families build resilience, strengthen relationships and achieve their goals. Based in Berri, this is an on-site position that combines case management, outreach, advocacy and community engagement. You will work alongside children, young people and families experiencing a range of complex challenges, delivering support in homes, schools and community settings where people feel safe and comfortable.
