Job summary

Touchdown Canberra, a locally owned firm with 25 years in rope access and height safety, seeks an Admin and Technical Sales Team Member to join and grow with the team. Learn rapidly, take on responsibilities, and progress within the business as you develop knowledge of building services and safety systems.

You will handle client enquiries, scheduling, and coordination with field technicians, while exploring sales opportunities and preparing quotes.

Qualifications

• Attitude, willingness to learn and potential to grow are valued.
• Experience in sales, estimating, construction, facilities management or project coordination will be valuable.
• Engineering background preferred; open to candidates with strong systems and sales knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Managing client enquiries, communication and project updates.
• Creating and maintaining job sheets and job information.
• Supporting day-to-day job scheduling and operational coordination.
• Liaising with field technicians regarding job requirements, access and client information.
• Coordinating access arrangements and client requirements before works.
• Following up completed works and future opportunities.
• Maintaining accurate client, building, quote and job information in company systems.
• Supporting Management with day-to-day operational activities.
• Building relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, facility managers and strata managers.
• Following up quotes, recurring work and sales opportunities.
• Identifying opportunities to grow existing client accounts and generate new work.
• Preparing estimates, quotations and tender submissions.
• Assisting with site visits and gathering information required for quoting.

About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Admin and Technical Sales Team Membersto join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn. As your knowledge and experience develop, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility and progress within the business.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Administration

• Managing client enquiries, communication and project updates.
• Creating and maintaining job sheets and job information.

About You

We are more interested in your attitude, willingness to learn and potential to grow than having every skill on day one.

You may be a good fit for this role if you:

• Have good communication and customer service skills.
• Are organised and able to manage multiple jobs and enquiries.
• Are comfortable speaking with clients and following up sales opportunities.
• Are comfortable working with both office staff and field technicians.
• Are willing to attend sites when required.
• Are confident learning new systems and processes.
• Want to develop your knowledge of building services, rope access and height safety.
• Knowledge of Notion, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam Revu is highly regarded, but not essential.
• Experience in sales, estimating, construction, facilities management or project coordination will be valuable.
• Numerous opportunities are available. Ideally, we are looking for people with Engineering background and experience. We are also open to candidates with a strong understanding of systems and sales who are eager to learn.
