Job summary

RIGCOM in Canberra is seeking a Height Safety Installer to join our Installation and Recertification teams. You will travel to client sites and work at heights in a safe, compliant manner.

We offer hands-on training, tools and PPE, and a supportive, safety-first culture with a flexible, casual work arrangement to develop your installation skills.

Qualifications

• Mandatory: Valid Working at Heights certification (RIIWHS204E or equivalent).
• At least 1 year experience installing height safety systems; trades background advantageous.
• White Card (Construction Induction) required.
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and work at heights in varied weather.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support installation of height safety systems on construction sites.
• Collaborate with Team Leader or Site Manager to complete tasks efficiently.
• Perform maintenance and checks on installed systems and repair as needed.
• Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition and used safely.
• Assist with reporting tasks under supervision.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Height Safety Installer to join and support our Installation and Recertification teams in Canberra. You'll be a keen learner and comfortable to work on heights to complete installation works in a safe and compliant manner. This role will require you to travel to client sites in Canberra and ACT as per the project requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Support the team in installation of height safety systems such as roof safety systems, anchor points and fall protection equipment on construction sites.
• Work closely with the team to execute tasks efficiently, following instructions from the Team Leader or Site Manager.
• Perform regular maintenance and checks on installed systems, making repairs or adjustments as required.
• Ensure all tools and equipment used are in good working condition and used safely during installation tasks.
• Supporting the team lead/supervisor with reporting tasks

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Valid Working at Heights certification (RIIWHS204E or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year experience in installing height safety systems or trades background highly advantageous
• White Card (Construction Induction).
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence
• Ability to travel various sites, work at heights in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn and develop your installation skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
