Job summary

Fire and Wire is looking for an energetic administrator to join our Melbourne team. This full-time, office-based position supports service, administration and management to keep daily operations running smoothly.

You will handle calls and emails, coordinate schedules and quotes, and assist multiple departments in a fast-paced environment. A proactive, organized approach with strong communication is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct telephone calls professionally.
  • Provide efficient customer support and respond to enquiries.
  • Monitor and manage incoming emails and forward to appropriate teams.
  • Create and close tasks related to quotes and general administration.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Manage and coordinate technician schedules.
  • Perform general office administration tasks.
  • Support other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and positive person to join our team in a full-time, office-based role.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being busy, working as part of a team and taking ownership of their work. Our office is fast-paced and constantly moving, so you will need to be a quick thinker, organised and able to confidently manage competing priorities.

You will be an important part of our day-to-day operations, working closely with our service, administration and management teams to keep things running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Answer and direct telephone calls professionally
  • Provide efficient customer support and respond to or direct enquiries
  • Monitor and manage incoming emails, forwarding them to the appropriate department or team member
  • Create and close tasks relating to quotes and general administration
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and maintain positive working relationships
  • Manage and coordinate technician schedules
  • Perform general office administration tasks
  • Support other departments as required to help ensure smooth daily operations
The Ideal Candidate
  • Is enthusiastic, energetic and brings a positive attitude to work
  • Enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Is a quick thinker who can problem-solve and make sound decisions
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication and organisational skills
  • Can multitask and confidently manage changing priorities
  • Is confident using computers, including Microsoft 365, and learning new systems
  • Takes pride in their work and is willing to go the extra mile
  • Works well both independently and as part of a supportive, energetic team
  • Previous experience in fire protection or a related industry will be highly regarded but is not essential
