Job summary

Museums Victoria in Melbourne’s CBD is seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team on a full‑time ongoing basis. You will process invoices, reconcile receipts, and provide customer‑focused service to staff and external debtors, using our Dynamics GP system.

The role offers a secure VPS Grade 2 position with a base salary of $72,189 per annum plus 12% superannuation. We value accuracy, teamwork and proactive communication while ensuring compliance with policy and reporting

Qualifications

• Experience processing, reconciling and reporting financial transactions.
• Able to work in a team and independently to solve problems.
• Strong computing skills with an online finance system and reporting.
• Accurate with manual and computerised records.
• Customer-focused and deadline-driven.
• Effective communication across staff levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide finance and administration services to internal and external customers.
• Process invoices and revenue receipts using GP system.
• Undertake daily reconciliations for admissions, revenue and bank statements.
• Issue end-of-month debtor accounts and follow up with debtors.
• Provide transactional reports on account status to clients.
