Job summary

Hume Doors & Timber in Sydney is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional to manage the full AP process. You will handle high volumes of supplier invoices, perform 3-way matching, and ensure payments are accurate and timely.

Working with ERP Epicor and Excel, you’ll reconcile statements, maintain supplier records, and support month-end close with accruals and reporting. This permanent, full-time role runs Monday to Friday in a collaborative finance team.

Qualifications

• Several years' accounts payable experience in a computerized environment (manufacturing/distribution/building products).
• Proficiency with Epicor ERP is highly regarded.
• Intermediate Excel skills or higher.
• High accuracy with a methodical approach to deadlines.
• Clear, confident communication with suppliers and colleagues.
• Team player who takes ownership and looks for better ways of working.
• Current working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of local & overseas supplier invoices, including 3-way matching to purchase orders and goods receipts.
• Prepare and process weekly & monthly payment runs (EFT, BPAY & TT).
• Reconcile creditor and supplier statements and resolve discrepancies quickly.
• Set up and maintain supplier records, including verifying bank details to prevent fraud.
• Handle supplier and internal queries professionally.
• Support month-end close with accruals, reconciliations and reporting.
• Help improve AP processes and controls.
