Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team in Melbourne's Docklands. The role is permanent and full-time with a total package up to AUD 75,000.

You will handle invoices, vendor payments, and reconciliations while supporting process improvements. Based in Docklands with the flexibility to work 3 days from home, you will interact with vendors and staff, contributing to accurate financial records and timely payments while ensuring compliance across

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounts payable position.
• Experience with large ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP or Oracle).
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail in invoice processing and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Excel and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process and code invoices in line with company policies.

• Conduct supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a dynamic finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for the efficient management of accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors, subcontractors, and staff. This is a hands‑on position where attention to detail, accuracy, and strong vendor relationship management are key. You’ll also contribute to streamlining processes and supporting finance projects that drive efficiency and compliance across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately process and code invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate and process vendor payments, staff reimbursements, and credit card reconciliations.

About You

• Previous experience in accounts payable position
• Prior experience in a similar Accounts Payable position
• Minimum 2-years of pure accounts payable experience
• Experience with a large ERP system such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, et al
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail in invoice processing and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of financial principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
