Martin Brower is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to join our collaborative finance team in Sydney, Australia. You will process invoices, match purchase orders, reconcile ledgers and support internal controls while maintaining vendor relationships.

To succeed you have tertiary qualifications in business accounting or finance, experience in accounts payable, and advanced Excel with ERP exposure. Hybrid working and generous benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in business accounting or finance.
• Demonstrated experience in accounts payable or related role.
• Strong understanding of purchase order processing and matching.

Responsibilities

• Review and match pre-paid import invoices with purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable transactions.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers; respond to inquiries and resolve issues.
• Assist in the review and testing of internal controls related to accounts payable processes.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to strengthen internal controls.
• Generate and analyse accounts payable reports including aging reports.
• Assist with timely completion of month-end tasks.
• Maintain and update accounts payable finance systems and databases.
• Collaborate with IT and finance teams on system upgrades and enhancements.
