Job summary

Highview Accounting Bass Coast Pty seeks an experienced Accountant to join their team. This role can be full time or part time (minimum 20 hours per week), offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle and career goals.

You will prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies, while assisting in tax planning strategies under guidance from management. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics and either studying or have completed CPA/CA.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Australian Public Practice Accounting.
• Solid understanding of tax issues such as Division 7A, GST, and FBT.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies.
• Assist in the preparation and implementation of tax planning strategies and initiatives with guidance from manager.
• Liaise with clients to assist with answering their queries.
• Liaise with the ATO and other third parties on behalf of the client when required.
